We have one easy form to fill out whether you are new to Okotoks, moving within Okotoks, or need to cancel your utilities! Please provide 5 working days' notice to the Town of Okotoks before services are connected or disconnected.

In an effort to reduce both the environmental impact of paper printing and the costs associated with mailing monthly utility bills, the Town of Okotoks moved to paperless billing in 2020.

Residents who choose to continue with paper billing will be charged a fee of $2.00 per bill to cover the cost of printing and mailing paper bills.

You can pay your bill through your financial institution using your 10 digit account number with or without the decimal depending on your financial institution. Choose Okotoks (Town of) Utilities from the bill payment option. To avoid late charges, allow seven days for processing.

Pre-authorized Utility Payment Form

• Present your payment (cash, cheque or debit), along with a copy of your bill to the cashier at the Okotoks Municipal Centre – 5 Elizabeth Street, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
• Present a copy of your bill and payment at TD Canada Trust and most financial institutions in Canada. To avoid late charges, allow seven days for processing.

Mail your cheque or money order, made payable to the TOWN OF OKOTOKS, along with the bottom portion of your bill to:

Place your payment along with the bottom portion of your bill in the night deposit box located at the Okotoks Municipal Centre – 5 Elizabeth Street.

• Utility bills are payable upon receipt
• A 4% penalty is applied to accounts that are not paid prior to the due date indicated on your bill
• Utility balances left unpaid 80 days after the due date will result in the transfer of outstanding balances to your tax account.
• Returned payments are subject to a $35 administration fee.

If you are moving from a property, please remember that:

• Utility account numbers are linked to the property address, NOT the customer name.
• If you move to a new property within the Town of Okotoks, your account number will change.
• If you pay your bill online, please update your new utility account number with your financial institution.
• If you were on the preauthorized payment plan for utilities, you will need to reapply using your new address.
• Final utility bills are due upon receipt.

• Renters cannot set up new utility accounts.
• All municipal utility accounts must be set up in the registered owners name.

If you have a rental property in the Town of Okotoks, please be aware that:

• All utility accounts are held in the titled property owner’s name only.
• It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure that utility balances are paid.
