Through previous engagements in the Environmental Master Plan, the Greenhouse Gas Baseline Report, the Municipal Development Plan, and ongoing feedback from you, the Town of Okotoks has compiled a list of resident-supported actions needed for a sustainable future.
To meet our ambitious target of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050, we need to start implementing all of these actions over the next few years. The Town has made a start on our municipal buildings and activities, and we are ready for your help. We need to complete all the actions - in the Town, through local businesses, and by Okotokians to achieve our goal.
We know that Covid-19 has been hard on everyone in our community. Now is the time for us to come together and plan for the best recovery possible. The Climate Action Plan is the framework for Okotoks to Build Back Better.
